Turkey Club Sandwich with Turkey Bacon (Printable)

Triple-decker turkey club with crispy turkey bacon, fresh vegetables and creamy mayonnaise on toasted bread.

# What You Need:

→ Proteins

01 - 4 slices turkey bacon
02 - 6 oz sliced cooked turkey breast

→ Bread

03 - 6 slices sandwich bread, toasted

→ Vegetables

04 - 4 leaves romaine or iceberg lettuce
05 - 2 medium tomatoes, sliced
06 - 1/4 small red onion, thinly sliced

→ Condiments

07 - 3 tbsp mayonnaise
08 - 1 tsp Dijon mustard
09 - Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

→ Other

10 - 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened

# Directions:

01 - Cook turkey bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 4-5 minutes per side. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.
02 - Toast all bread slices until golden brown. Spread each slice lightly with softened butter while warm if desired for extra flavor.
03 - Spread mayonnaise and Dijon mustard evenly on one side of each toasted bread slice. Ensure even coverage for consistent flavor distribution.
04 - Place one bread slice mayo-side up. Layer with half the lettuce, followed by half the sliced turkey breast and several tomato slices. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
05 - Place second bread slice mayo-side down onto stack. Spread mayo on top side. Add half the cooked turkey bacon, additional lettuce and tomato as desired, and onion slices if using.
06 - Finish with third bread slice mayo-side down. Press down gently to compress layers. Secure with toothpicks at each corner and slice diagonally into halves or quarters.
07 - Assemble second sandwich following same steps. Serve immediately while bread remains crispy and bacon stays warm.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The triple-decker structure creates this ridiculous satisfying sandwich experience that feels like a treat every single time
  • Turkey bacon gives you all the crispy crunch without the heavy aftermath of regular bacon
02 -
  • The toothpicks are non-negotiable because without them, your sandwich will slide apart the moment you try to cut it
  • Let your assembled sandwich rest for about 2 minutes before slicing—this gives everything time to settle and hold together
03 -
  • Pat your tomato slices dry with paper towels before assembling—this single step prevents soggy bread syndrome
  • Season each layer individually with salt and pepper instead of just at the end, building flavor as you go
