02 - Fold in grated carrots, raisins, and chopped nuts until evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
03 - Stir everything thoroughly to ensure all flavors are well blended. Cover the bowl or jar tightly with a lid.
04 - Place in the refrigerator and let soak overnight, or for at least 8 hours, to allow oats to soften and flavors to meld.
05 - In the morning, stir the oats well. Add a splash more milk if needed to reach your desired consistency. Serve chilled, topped with extra nuts, a sprinkle of cinnamon, or a dollop of yogurt if desired.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • Tastes like youre eating cake for breakfast but with wholesome ingredients that actually fuel you
  • Prep once and wake up to breakfast waiting for you, no morning effort required
02 -
  • The first time I made these, I used quick oats and ended up with a texture closer to baby food than cake
  • Letting them sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before eating makes them somehow even better
03 -
  • Grate your carrots fresh rather than buying pre-grated, which can taste bitter and dry
  • Warm a portion in the microwave for 30 seconds if cold breakfast isnt your thing
